Case Studies > Bell StoneFruit Logistica, BerlinBell Stone Associates designed and installed two very different exhibition stand designs at the same trade fair. Both called for high impact graphics, large backlit features and full use of the 4m height allowance. The main feature of the 72sqm stand for Katopé International was a 9m backlit rear wall incorporating secure storage and kitchen areas. In contrast, the ImmPort stand needed to create a strong impact from a very small footprint of just 4x4m which was only open on one side. T3 Airframe was chosen for both exhibition stand designs as it delivered the best combination of modular system flexibility, strength and light weight. Photorealistic large format graphics were designed and prepared by Bell Stone’s design team and printed to backlit PVC and 3mm foamex panels for direct attachment to the T3 framework by magnetic tape or Velcro to give a seamless finish. The client for the smaller of the two stands decided to attend only at the last minute leaving a design and production time of just 3 weeks. Oliver Bell of the exhibition stand design company, Bell Stone Associates, says "A modular stand solution was essential given the short lead time and, after looking at several systems, we chose T3 Airframe from Tecna Display for its superior versatility and the ability to order custom tube lengths and angles. "I don’t think we could have achieved the effect with the inclined walls and height at the right price point with any other system", he adds. Both stands, including all the lighting were transported and assembled at the Berlin Messe in just 4 days by a team of three contractors. Afterwards, the exhibition stands were packed away and loaded onto a single Sprinter van in just 6 hours! "T3 allows us to transport and assemble stands to timeframes and budgets that are just not possible with conventional build methods. It’s a cost-efficient system too – the same T3 components were simply reconfigured for other exhibition stand designs afterwards. It’s the ideal system for designer/contractors who both sell and hire exhibition stands and displays." Oliver Bell |
